Hans Reitz
Hans Reitz is founder, host, and lead curator of Summer of Purpose.
The impulse arises from his decades of experience as entrepreneur, networker, event maker, creative strategist, and designer of spaces where people learn together and draft the future.
His role is to sense themes, bring the right people together, ask the crucial questions, and—drawing on experience, networks, and reality—create an open space for encounter again and again.
Tamara Dietl
Tamara Dietl ist Publizistin und Beraterin und gehört von Anfang an zum menschlichen und geistigen Kern des Summer of Purpose. Sie bringt immer wieder den Spirit von Menschlichkeit, Nahbarkeit, Wärme, Lebenserfahrung und Beziehungsqualität ein.
With decades of experience, clear reflection, and an ability to place people and topics in vibrant, fruitful relationships, she helps ensure that Summer of Purpose remains not only strong in content but also humanly accessible and alive.
Prof. Dr. Timo Meynhardt
Prof. Dr. Timo Meynhardt is a member of the Summer of Purpose advisory board and contributes the perspective of common good and societal value creation.
Als Professor an der HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management und international anerkannter Vertreter des Public-Value-Ansatzes beschäftigt er sich mit der Frage, wie Organisationen einen Beitrag für Gesellschaft leisten können, der über ökonomischen Erfolg hinausgeht.
Within Summer of Purpose he co-developed the “Leipzig line,” notably through colloquia and learning formats that blend scholarly reflection with practical application.
His role is to give the discourse a sound theoretical base while showing concrete ways to shape societal value.
Amelie Deuflhard
Amelie Deuflhard, Intendantin des Kampnagel, gehört zum Kuratorium des Summer of Purpose und prägt dessen kulturelle und ästhetische Dimension.
Since 2016 she and Hans Reitz have cultivated an ongoing exchange that has grown into a shared space of thought and experience, where theatre, the avant-garde, international artistic practice, and societal questions meet.
Amelie Deuflhard bringt die Kraft von Kunst als Reflexionsraum ein – als Ort, an dem gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen nicht nur diskutiert, sondern sinnlich erfahrbar werden. Ihre Perspektive erweitert den Summer of Purpose um Offenheit, Experiment und die Fähigkeit, Zukunft nicht nur zu denken, sondern zu inszenieren und erlebbar zu machen.
Werner Buss
Creative director, coach, and speaker based in Munich, Werner Buss belongs to the core circle of co-organizers for Summer of Purpose 2026.
28 Jahre lang prägte er als Künstlerischer Direktor der GOP Entertainment Group über 350 Showproduktionen in acht Häusern – eine Rolle, in der er nicht nur künstlerische Maßstäbe setzte, sondern vor allem eine neue Form der Gastgeberschaft etablierte. Für Buss sind Herzlichkeit und Qualität nicht verhandelbar: Er versteht Gastgeberschaft als Haltung, die jeden Kontaktpunkt durchdringt – vom Empfang bis zur Bühne.

Nais Graswald sits on the Summer of Purpose advisory board and enriches the space with a contemporary view of communication, politics, and societal impact.
Drawing on her background in strategic communication and political consulting, she brings a deep understanding of how issues enter the public sphere, how narratives take shape, and how ideas gain social traction.
Her role is to make language and impact conscious: How do we speak about the future? How do we reach people? And how can communication be designed not to divide, but to connect?
Michael Otto
Michael Otto gehört seit vielen Jahren zu den prägenden Weggefährten von Hans Reitz und ist eine der konstanten, reflektierenden Stimmen im Umfeld des Summer of Purpose. Als Unternehmer und langjähriger Vorsitzender der Otto Group steht er wie kaum ein anderer für die Verbindung von wirtschaftlichem Handeln, Nachhaltigkeit und gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung.
Since 2009, Otto and Reitz have met regularly to drill into the pivotal questions of our era: the role of business in societal
transformation, corporate responsibility, and perspectives on culture, peace, and the future.
Im Kontext des Summer of Purpose bringt Michael Otto vor allem seine Haltung ein: die Überzeugung, dass Wirtschaft nicht losgelöst von gesellschaftlicher Entwicklung gedacht werden kann. Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus gehört von Anfang an zu den zentral prägenden Persönlichkeiten des Summer of Purpose. Sie bringt die Kraft von Wissenschaft, Lernen, Führung und institutioneller Entwicklung ein.
Through her affiliation with the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning (TUM IL³) and her clear perspective on leadership, development, and education, she helped establish Summer of Purpose early on as a serious space for learning and reflection.
Katharina Inselkammer
Katharina Inselkammer gehört von Beginn an zu den zentralen Mitgestalterinnen des Summer of Purpose und steht für eine besondere Verbindung aus Unternehmertum, Gastlichkeit und kultureller Verwurzelung.
As host and entrepreneur—among ot-her ventures, the Kunstwerkküche—she complemented the program’s intellectual idea with lived hospitality at the first Summer of Purpose in 2020 at Messe Munich.
Gemeinsam mit Hans Reitz verbindet sie nicht nur die Herkunft als „Wirtshauskinder“, sondern auch die Haltung, Räume zu schaffen, in denen Begegnung möglich wird. Ihre Rolle geht dabei weit über Organisation hinaus: Sie steht für Erdung, Umsetzungsstärke und eine Form von Großzügigkeit, die dem Summer of Purpose seine menschliche Qualität gibt.
Veronika Gstöttl
Veronika Gstöttl is part of the inner core of co-organizers for Summer of Purpose 2026 and shapes both its Munich anchoring and the social architecture of the format. As founder of Social Architecture Studio, she blends dramaturgical thinking, curatorial practice, and strategic network-building with a clear focus on relationships, communication, and cross-generational collaboration.
Ihre Rolle besteht darin, Menschen, Themen und Perspektiven in eine tragfähige Verbindung zu bringen und Räume zu gestalten, in denen aus Austausch konkrete Bewegung entsteht. Mit dieser Arbeit positioniert sie sich bewusst im Spannungsfeld von Praxis und gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung: mit der Ambition, einen Beitrag zu größerensystemischen Fragen zu leisten und langfristig in Netzwerken mit systemverändernder Relevanz mitzuwirken, in denen Zukunft nicht nur analysiert, sondern aktiv mitgestaltet wird.
